YIDA Youth Initiative is a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to fostering community development, improving the livelihoods of youth and vulnerable populations, and promoting education, health, and protection in refugee settlements and host communities. Operating primarily in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, YIDA focuses on capacity building, empowerment initiatives, youth employment opportunities, and community development projects.
Our organization relies on the seamless delivery of essential goods, works and services to execute programs and ensure efficiency. To sustain and enhance our operations, YIDA invites qualified and experienced suppliers and service providers to apply for pre-qualification for 2026 – 2027. Prequalified suppliers will be eligible to bid for the supply of goods and services as needed.
This prequalification process aims to:
- Ensure a transparent and efficient procurement process.
- Build a reliable pool of suppliers and service providers.
- Strengthen partnerships with local businesses and promote community development.
- Guarantee the availability of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices to meet our operational needs.

Mandatory Supplier Qualifications:
To be eligible for prequalification, suppliers must meet the following criteria:
- Company Registration: Certificate of Incorporation
- Tax Compliance: Valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Current Tax Clearance Certificate from the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)
- Operating License: Valid business operation license
- Banking Information: Clear banking details
- Invoices & Receipts: Proforma invoices, official invoices, delivery notes, and payment receipts
- Proof of Identity: National ID photocopy or Refugee ID photocopy
- Trade References: At least three (3) references with full contact details
For IT services, suppliers must provide proof of accreditations (e.g., Microsoft, HP, Dell, Cisco certification
Submission Guidelines:
All submissions must be labelled as “Registration of Suppliers, Service providers and Contractors FY2026-2027”, clearly indicating the category number applied for.

Feedback Timeline:
- Successful applicants will be notified by email or phone within Three (3) weeks after the closing date.
